Château de Monthelie is a four-generation, family-owned estate in Monthelie, Burgundy, run by Gwendoline, Dominique and Eric de Suremain. Its 10.5 hectares of clay-limestone vineyards have been organically certified and farmed biodynamically since 1996, with vines worked by hand and very low yields. The estate produces red and white AOC wines with a terroir-focused, traditional approach, including oak aging, minimal intervention and whole-cluster fermentation. Wines are described as perfumed, floral, elegant, silky and deep, with Sur La Velle regarded as Monthelie’s finest plot. The NOUS 3 cuvée is made without added sulfites.
