Domaine Henri Gouges is a fourth-generation family estate founded in 1919/1920 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy. The domaine farms about 14–15 hectares exclusively within Nuits-Saint-Georges, across ten appellations including seven Premier Crus and the family monopole Clos des Porrets-Saint-Georges. It has practiced organic viticulture since 2008, focusing on biodiversity, soil health, and vine roots, and is currently undergoing organic certification. Vineyards average 50–60 years old, with massal selection. Winemaking is small-lot, using hand-harvested grapes, gravity-fed vinification, and 10–18 months of French oak aging. The estate is managed by cousins Grégory and Antoine Gouges, with winemaking involving Pierre and Christian Gouges. Henri Gouges was a pioneer of estate bottling in Burgundy (from 1929) and discovered the white 'Pinot Gouges' mutation.
