Maison Alain de la Treille

France

Maison Alain de la Treille is a family-owned Loire Valley estate founded in 1885 and now run by fifth-generation proprietor Noël Bougrier with his children, Nicolas and Sophie. The estate manages vineyards averaging 25 years of age and focuses on limited-quantity premier wines. Since 2008, sixth-generation winemaker Lionel Métairreau has overseen production in a modern winery using thermoregulated stainless-steel tanks and cold maceration. The wines reflect a blend of longstanding family involvement and contemporary cellar techniques. No sustainability certifications are reported.
