Maggy Hawk

United States

Family-owned since 1994, Maggy Hawk is an estate producer in Anderson Valley’s fog-influenced “Deep End” of Mendocino County, California. Owned by Barbara Banke, the estate focuses on low-volume, single-vineyard Pinot Noir expressing the region’s cool, maritime-influenced sites, with a recent Chardonnay planting. Winemaking is led by Sarah Wuethrich, with Elizabeth Grant-Douglas also overseeing Pinot Noir production. The estate has eliminated herbicides, adopted cane pruning and full no-till farming, and established pollinator gardens and an orchard, with regenerative sheep grazing planned. Its approach emphasizes site specificity, grape purity and natural elegance across distinctive estate vineyards.
