Leeuwenkuil Family Vineyards

South Africa

Leeuwenkuil Family Vineyards is a family-owned producer in Swartland, South Africa, run by Willie and Emma Dreyer of the Dreyer family. Its vineyards are farmed dryland, with old bush vines that draw deeply for concentration and express the region’s granitic soils. The winery focuses on uncompromisingly honest, natural wines in a restrained, elegant style, using natural fermentation, low sulphur levels and vegan winemaking. Traditional methods feature in the flagship Heritage range and the Méthode Ancestrale sparkling wines, while Chenin Blanc and Rhône varieties are central to the portfolio. The estate’s wines have received notable recognition, including Shiraz of the Year for Heritage Syrah 2022.
