Domaine Le Petit Saint Vincent is a family-owned estate in Varrains in the Loire Valley, led by Dominique Joseph (“Pélo”), the fourth/fifth generation of the Joseph family and the domaine’s winemaker. The vineyards are planted mainly to Cabernet Franc, with a small parcel of Chenin Blanc, on clay and limestone soils over tuffeau. The estate has farmed organically since the early 1990s and was officially certified organic in 2010, with hands-on vineyard work including hand harvesting. In the cellar, the approach is artisanal and terroir-focused, with wines aged mainly in concrete vats; notes also mention whole-cluster fermentation and zero added SO2. The domaine produces Saumur and Saumur-Champigny reds, rosés, whites, and sparkling wines made by the ancestral method.
