Chile

Lapostolle is a family-owned Chilean estate in the Central Valley, founded in 1994 by the French Marnier-Lapostolle family with Chilean partners. Based in the Apalta area of Colchagua, it is known for premium, terroir-driven wines, with Clos Apalta as its flagship blend. Its key vineyards include Clos Apalta, Clos du Lican, and San José in the Valle de Apalta, where granitic to granodioritic soils, colluvial zones, and alluvial deposits along the Tinguiririca River shape the wines. The estate emphasizes environmentally respectful, sustainable viticulture, and the Marnier-Lapostolle family remains the principal owner guiding its direction.
