La Togata is a family-owned, second-generation estate in Sant’Angelo in Colle, 8 km from Montalcino, within the Val d’Orcia Natural Park. Run by the Angel family and managed by Jeanneth Angel, it produced its first vintage in 1990. The cellar is carved into the hills, while Massimo Demo and enologist Santo Gozzo oversee winemaking. The estate uses natural vineyard products, careful yield control, manual pruning and hand-harvesting, without listed formal certifications. Its vineyards are more than 25 years old and grapes undergo double selection in the cellar. La Togata focuses on classic Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino, described as structured, mineral and elegant, alongside fresher, fruit-driven expressions such as Carillon.
