La del Terreno

Spain

La del Terreno is an independent, micro-scale label founded in 2015 in Jumilla, Murcia, by Julia Casado, who owns and operates the project as its sole winemaker. It works with a rented vineyard of 50-year-old, goblet-trained Monastrell planted on sandy loam at around 500 metres altitude. Farming follows organic and low-impact sustainable practices, without formal certification cited. The grapes are processed in a relocatable, container-style winery currently based at the regenerative farm Finca La Junquera. Very small-batch production and a direct farmer-winemaker model define this focused boutique project.
