Jean-Marc Burgaud

France

Domaine Jean-Marc Burgaud is a family-run estate in Villié-Morgon, Beaujolais, founded in 1989 and led by owner-winemaker Jean-Marc Burgaud with his wife Christine, whose inherited Morgon vines form part of the domaine. The estate focuses especially on Morgon, including parcels on Côte du Py and other single-vineyard sites, while also producing Beaujolais Villages, Régnié, and some Chardonnay. Farming follows Lutte Raisonnée principles, with hand-harvesting, no chemical fertilizers or insecticides, limited treatments, and generally low-intervention, organic-style practices without formal certification. In the cellar, Burgaud emphasizes terroir expression through traditional semi-carbonic or whole-cluster fermentations and minimal-intervention élevage.
