Hiedler is a long-established family estate in Langenlois, Kamptal, in Niederösterreich, with family ownership dating to 1856 and today led by Ludwig Hiedler Sr. with Ludwig Jr. and Dietmar. The winery is rooted in hand-crafted, terroir-focused production, working notable Kamptal sites and emphasizing varieties such as Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, alongside a historic role in pioneering Weissburgunder in the Danube area. Farming follows ecological and regenerative principles, with hand-tended vines, cover crops, compost, mechanical soil work, and no herbicides or insecticides. In the cellar, Hiedler relies on hand harvesting, gentle pressing, natural yeasts, and élevage in stainless steel, acacia, and oak, often with extended lees aging, to produce authentic, site-expressive wines.
