Frischengruber is a family-owned estate in Rossatz, Wachau, founded in 1842 and now run by fifth-generation Georg Frischengruber with Sandra. The estate focuses on old-vine Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, farmed with organic and sustainable practices, including handwork, no herbicides or pesticides, and sheep for grass control. In the cellar, natural fermentation, gentle pressing, minimal intervention, and extended aging on fine lees shape the wines. Georg took over from his father Heinz in 2010, continuing a long family tradition with an environmentally respectful approach.
