Finca Míllara

Finca Míllara is an artisanal winery in Pantón, Lugo, within Ribeira Sacra’s Ribeiras do Miño subzone. Its project focuses on recovering ancient, centenary vineyards planted on steep, hand-built stone terraces beside the Miño River, where schist soils provide excellent drainage. The producer practices heroic viticulture, with meticulous vineyard care and manual harvesting. Wines are made using traditional methods, including fermentation with indigenous yeasts in French oak foudres and ageing in French oak barrels. Mencía is a highlighted variety among the estate’s plantings. The winery’s naturally temperature-stable, semi-buried facilities support careful, small-scale production rooted in the dramatic landscape and long tradition of Ribeira Sacra.
