Feudo Antico is a family-owned boutique estate in Tollo, within Abruzzo’s Tullum DOCG, managing its own vineyards and winery. It focuses on native varieties including Pecorino, Passerina and Montepulciano, with organic and low-impact viticulture certified through the Magis sustainability project since 2013. Vineyards are selected through detailed study of soils, microclimates and rootstocks, including high-altitude plantings in Castel di Sangro. Winemaking emphasizes minimal intervention, spontaneous fermentation for the organic and InAnfora wines, and maturation in amphora, concrete and glass rather than wood. The estate’s identity is closely tied to its territory: Roman villa remains discovered during Pecorino replanting led to an ongoing commitment to archaeological preservation and the revival of Abruzzo’s viticultural heritage.
