Etnella is an artisan natural wine producer founded by Davide Bentivegna in 2008 on Mount Etna’s north-eastern slopes in Sicily. Working across volcanic, terraced vineyards at high altitude, the estate practices organic farming, biodiversity and traditional alberello training, with manual harvesting and minimal vineyard inputs. Native varieties including Carricante and Nerello Mascalese are shaped by steep slopes, volcanic soils and pronounced day–night temperature shifts. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous with indigenous yeasts; wines are unfiltered, with minimal sulphite use. Etnella produces small-batch white, orange, rosé and red wines, including single-Contrada expressions and fruit Pet-Nats. The project also includes Notti Stellate, an eco-agriturismo offering intimate tastings, vineyard walks and seasonal dinners, alongside olive oil and preserves.
