Escoda Sanahuja

Spain

Escoda-Sanahuja is a family-owned winery in Conca de Barberà, Catalonia, founded in 1999 by Joan Ramón Escoda and his wife Mari Carmen. Run by the Escoda-Sanahuja family, it is focused on natural wine, with Joan Ramón Escoda as the sole winemaker and a co-founder of Spain’s first natural wine association. The estate farms organically and biodynamically, with vegan-friendly viticulture, cover crops, and on-site composting. In the cellar, the wines are made with native yeasts, without added sulfites since 2005, and without filtration, fining, or stabilization. The range is deliberately small, reflecting a clear minimal-intervention, artisanal approach.
