Domaine Le Roc

France

Château Le Roc is a family-owned estate in the Fronton appellation of southwest France, near Toulouse, run by the Ribes family. Brothers Jean-Luc and Frédéric Ribes took over their father’s property in 1988. The estate farms low-yielding vines on iron-rich rouget soils, with gravel and stone over alluvial, ice-age deposits. Its approach is lutte raisonnée: low-intervention, sustainable farming based on healthy agricultural principles, without formal organic or biodynamic certification mentioned. The wines aim to express their distinctive terroir, bringing added character and intensity to Frontonnais wines. Production is small-scale, including a parcel of less than one hectare yielding only a few thousand bottles annually.
