Domaine Joël Delaunay is a fifth-generation family estate near Château de Chenonceau in Pouillé, in the Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux appellations. Thierry and Marie Delaunay continue the work begun by Joël Delaunay, who established estate bottling in 1970. The vineyards lie on clay and flint soils, with grass between rows to help control yields as part of a sustainable viticulture approach. Sauvignon Blanc is the principal variety, complemented by Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Côt, Pineau d’Aunis and Chardonnay. The domaine produces classic Touraine wines, traditional-method sparkling wines, and parcel-specific Touraine Chenonceaux cuvées, including the Sauvignon Blanc “La Voûte” and the Côt–Cabernet Franc “L’Esprit des Dames.”
