Domaine Jean Teiller

France

Domaine Jean Teiller is a historic, family-run estate in Menetou-Salon, Loire Valley, operated by two generations: Monique and Jean-Jacques Teiller with Patricia and Olivier Luneau. Created in the 1950s, the domaine farms clay-limestone vineyards planted to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, producing Menetou-Salon whites, reds, and rosés. The estate is certified organic and biodynamic, with vineyard work focused on ploughing, cover cropping, compost, and expressing individual terroirs. Winemaking emphasizes gentle handling, temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation and ageing, fine lees, and no barriques. Patricia and Olivier bring experience from Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Loire, and New Zealand, contributing a crisp, fruit-driven style while maintaining the family’s traditions. The wines are sold mainly to private customers and restaurants, and visitors are welcomed at the domaine.
