Domaine de la Pagerie

France

Domaine de la Pagerie is a Reuilly estate in the Loire Valley, run by Baptiste Pointereau, who took over the historic Domaine Guy Malbète vineyard in 2017. Its 12 hectares include vines planted in 1970, across clay-limestone, sandy-loam, siliceous-pebble, and sandy-gravel soils. Pointereau farms with a focus on respecting the land, using organic fertilizers, working the soils, mating-disruption techniques instead of insecticides, and disease treatments only when necessary. The domaine has organic certification, with conversion begun in 2019. Its wines are centered on expressing terroir and grape maturity, with Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir produced from Reuilly’s varied sites.
