Domaine Chotard is a family-run Sancerre estate in Crézancy-en-Sancerre with roots dating to 1789, now led by Simon and Juliette Chotard. Its vineyards, covering approximately 15–17 hectares, are devoted to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir across three terroirs: shallow limestone, Kimmeridgian clay-limestone, and clay with surface limestone. The domaine converted to organic farming in 2019 and obtained Agriculture Biologique certification in 2022. All grapes are harvested and sorted by hand. Trained oenologist Simon Chotard oversees traditional and parcel-specific cuvées, using stainless steel, oak and acacia vessels, with patient aging and extended maceration for the reds. The wines aim to express Sancerre’s terroirs and varietal character while respecting the environment and AOC traditions.
