Domaine Chaume-Arnaud

France

Domaine Chaume-Arnaud is a family-run estate founded in 1987 by Valérie and Philippe Chaume-Arnaud in Vinsobres, in the Rhône Valley, with the next generation represented by their son Thibaud, who leads the winemaking. The vineyards lie around Vinsobres and Saint-Maurice-sur-Eygues, facing Mont Ventoux, on clay-limestone and stony soils. The domaine has practiced organic farming since the late 1990s/early 2000s and biodynamic viticulture since the early 2000s, with AB and Demeter certification since 2009. Farming and cellar work emphasize hand harvesting, low yields, organic soil treatments, vegan-friendly practices, and low-intervention winemaking in concrete tanks without oak. They produce both Rhône reds and whites, and also grow olives, tomatoes, and basil.
