Domaine Bertrand Bachelet

France

Domaine Bertrand Bachelet is a fourth-generation family estate based in Dezize-les-Maranges, in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Bertrand Bachelet took over from his father, Jean-Louis, in 2011 and farms vineyards extending from the Maranges to Gevrey-Chambertin. The domaine produces Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with wines from appellations including Maranges and Saint-Aubin. Vineyard work is carried out manually, with careful soil cultivation from pruning through harvest to obtain healthy grapes and express each terroir. Vinification is traditional and non-interventionist, aiming to reveal the singularity and complexity of the sites while combining family tradition with modern viticulture and oenology.
