Domaine Bernard Gripa

France

Domaine Bernard Gripa is a fourth-generation family estate in Mauves, Northern Rhône, with roots dating to 1670. Fabrice Gripa, winemaker and owner since 1993, continues the tradition his father Bernard began by bottling estate wines in 1974. The domaine practices organic, low-intervention viticulture without herbicides or insecticides, and hand-works its steep vineyards. Its holdings in Saint-Joseph and Saint-Péray feature granitic and limestone-clay soils, with some vines planted in 1920. Uniquely for the region, plantings are split evenly between white Marsanne/Roussanne and red Syrah, reflecting a focus on artisanal, family-run winemaking.
