Domaine Dirler-Cadé is a family-owned Alsace estate in Bergholtz, with a winemaking history dating to 1871 and now run by fifth-generation vigneron Jean Dirler and his wife, Ludivine. The entire domaine has been farmed organically and biodynamically since 1998, with Biodyvin, Ecocert and Agriculture Biologique certification. Vineyards are ploughed in autumn and spring, naturally grassed in summer, hand-harvested and, in steep or narrow parcels including Grand Cru Kitterlé, worked with a draft horse. Biodynamic preparations, herbal teas and limited sulfur support soil health and vine resilience. The estate’s terroir-focused wines include the four Grand Crus Saering, Spiegel, Kessler and Kitterlé, alongside lieu-dit, varietal and Crémant d’Alsace cuvées. Jean and Ludivine allow terroir and vintage to guide the winemaking.
