Dieter Meier

Argentina

Dieter Meier’s Ojo de Agua is a wholly owned and operated Argentine producer based in Mendoza, with vineyards in Mendoza and Patagonia. Since acquiring Estancia Ojo de Agua in 1996, self-taught vintner Dieter Meier has developed a vertically integrated operation combining organic winegrowing with beef cattle production. Its vineyards are Certified Organic and Certified Vegan, following nature-friendly, sustainable practices. The winery focuses on fresh, terroir-driven wines, including Mendoza Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon and cool-climate Patagonian varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Winemaking combines simplicity with complexity and elegance, using stainless-steel fermentation, French oak aging, and microvinification for selected premium wines.
