Clos du Marquis

Clos du Marquis is a historic Saint-Julien label from the Delon family, under the ownership of Jean-Hubert Delon. Created in 1902 from vineyards linked to the Petit Clos adjoining Château de Léoville, it was established to express distinct Saint-Julien terroirs and remains separate from Château Léoville Las Cases, though under the same ownership. Its vines lie on top Saint-Julien sites, surrounded by noted classified growths. Farming is described as sustainable and organic in approach, with environmentally respectful viticulture. In style, Clos du Marquis is presented as a classic expression of Saint-Julien, combining structure, complexity, harmony, distinction, and strong ageing potential.
