Château Tour Prignac is a historic Médoc estate in Prignac-en-Médoc, acquired by the Castel family in 1973 and classified as a Cru Bourgeois. Its single-block vineyard comprises a mosaic of pebble-rich soils, managed plot by plot under Vanessa Trouy’s direction. Sustainable viticulture includes grass cover and soil tillage instead of chemical weedkillers, alongside wildflowers, beehives, hedges, unplanted areas, and reforestation. The red varieties—Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot—are vinified in thermo-regulated stainless-steel vats and aged for 10–14 months in French oak. Rigorous selection produces structured wines with reported aging potential of up to 10 years.
