Château Séraphine

France

Château Séraphine is a family-run estate in Pomerol, Bordeaux, owned by Martin Krajewski and his daughter Charlotte, who also leads the winemaking. Its 2.2 hectares are divided between the Plince and Mazeyres parcels, with old Merlot vines alongside newer Merlot and Cabernet Franc plantings on sandy, gravelly and blue-clay soils. The estate practices low-impact viticulture, carrying out all soil work by horse and performing canopy management, de-budding, crop thinning and de-leafing by hand. Harvesting is precise and manual, with careful sorting and gentle, gravity-fed processing. Minimal-intervention winemaking includes the use of steel, French oak and amphorae. Producing around 1,600 bottles of its flagship L’innocence de Séraphine per vintage, Château Séraphine is a notably small Pomerol domaine.
