Marquis de Terme is a long-established Margaux classified growth whose origins date to the 15th century, with its present name adopted in 1762. The estate has belonged to the Sénéclauze family since 1935 and remains under family stewardship across four generations, with Ludovic David leading winemaking and Paloma Sénéclauze now overseeing the expanded property. On the central plateau of Margaux, the vineyard is rooted in classic gravel soils and managed parcel by parcel, with reasoned pest control, respect for ecological balances, products approved for organic farming or biocontrol, and HVE 3 certification. In the cellar, fruit is carefully sorted, vinified by parcel in temperature-controlled concrete vats, and aged in oak for 16 to 18 months. The stated aim is a style that is fine, elegant, balanced, and modern, while preserving the character of the soils.
