Château Les Hauts de Caillevel

France

Château Les Hauts de Caillevel is a family-run estate in Pomport, in the Bergerac region of South-West France. Certified organic since 2010, it also develops agroforestry and treats its vines with mineral and natural products. The vineyards lie on rocky, pebble-rich and karstic soils, including clay-limestone slopes, with some vines more than 80 years old. Pierre-Étienne and Charlotte took over the estate in 2018, succeeding Sylvie Chevallier and Marc Ducrocq, who remain involved as winemakers. The estate produces a diverse range of red, white, rosé and sweet wines under Bergerac, Côtes de Bergerac, Monbazillac and Vin de France appellations, with low free-SO₂ levels.
