Château Garraud

France

Château Garraud is a family-owned Bordeaux estate on the Pomerol plateau, held by the Nony family for nearly four generations since Léon Nony acquired it in the 1930s. Its vineyards, planted in the mid-19th century, span gravel, clay-gravel, deep clay with crasse de fer, and clay-sand soils. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc are cultivated with deliberately limited yields through Double Guyot pruning, bud and leaf removal, and crop thinning. All grapes are hand-harvested, reflecting a careful approach intended to preserve the character of the site.
