Château de Vauclaire is a family-run estate in Meyrargues, in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, operated by Adeline and Charlotte Sallier. The 30-hectare vineyard lies on clay-limestone-sandy soils, shaped by Mediterranean sun and the mistral. Vineyard work from pruning through harvest is carried out with careful respect for the ecosystem; the estate is HVE certified and transitioning to organic agriculture. The Sallier family’s connection with the domaine spans 250 years, while the current vineyard was established by François Sallier between 1950 and 1980, with the first vintage released in 1982. Charlotte, cellar master, created the distinctive cuvée Charlotte in 2013, a rosé aged for nine months in oak. All the wines are from the Aix-en-Provence appellation.
