Château Closiot

France

Château Closiot is a Barsac estate in Bordeaux, owned and operated by the winemaking couple Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens since 2017. The domaine focuses on white wines, producing both sweet Barsac/Sauternes styles and dry Bordeaux blanc, including Le C de Sec, a dry late-harvest wine made from overripe Sémillon. Jean-Marie Guffens serves as winemaker. The cellar approach includes oak-barrel vinification for most Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, with Muscadelle fermented in concrete. Public information on vineyard area, production volume, farming practices, and sustainability certifications is not available.
