Château Clos du Clocher

France

Clos du Clocher is a historic Pomerol estate in Bordeaux, owned by the Bourotte-Audy family since its purchase by Jean-Baptiste Audy in 1924 and now run by his great-grandson Jean-Baptiste Bourotte. The estate combines family continuity with a quality-focused approach, including manual harvest, careful sorting, gentle extraction, and low-yield viticulture. Sustainability work includes grass cover for biodiversity, selective cover-crop management, and its first certified organic vintage in 2024. Technical director Mathieu Bonté leads winemaking alongside the owner, shaping a precise, attentive style rooted in meticulous vineyard and cellar work.
