Château Brown

France

Château Brown is a boutique estate in Bordeaux's Pessac-Léognan appellation, owned and personally managed by Jean-Christophe Mau since 2004. With a modest 31–36 hectares of vines on a 60-hectare property, the estate dedicates over 40% of its land to parkland, forests, and biodiversity features like hedges, flower farms, and beehives. It is deeply committed to sustainable, precision viticulture, holding High Environmental Value (HVE) certification and an Environmental Management System since 2012. Winemaking is plot-by-plot in small, temperature-controlled vats, with élevage in French oak. Annual production is focused on a Grand Vin and a second wine, with total output around 100,000 bottles, emphasizing terroir expression and artisanal care.
