Champagne Monmarthe

France

Champagne Monmarthe is a family-owned, independent grower estate in Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims, with additional Premier Cru vines in Taissy. The Monmarthe family has lived and farmed in Ludes since 1737; today, sixth-generation Jean-Guy Monmarthe works alongside his son Gauthier. The estate grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier across its own plots and bottles on site, producing terroir-focused Champagnes that emphasize plot, variety, vintage and vinification. Farming is sustainable and low-intervention, with cover crops, natural grassing, soil ploughing, biodiversity measures, limited yields and treatments only when needed. The estate holds High Environmental Value and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certifications. Its wines include the distinctive Clos Doré and a Solera Meunier cuvée based on a perpetual reserve begun in 2015.
