Maison Brotte is a family-owned Rhône Valley producer founded in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in 1931 and now spanning five generations. The family owns Domaine Barville in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Grosset in Cairanne and Château de Bord in Laudun, where varied soils and climates shape wines ranging from powerful and silky to fresh, supple and finely textured. Grenache is central to the estate’s identity, complemented by Syrah, Mourvèdre and Rhône white varieties. Winemaking emphasizes hand harvesting, careful sorting, low yields, gentle extraction, light filtration and élevage in concrete, foudres and selected barrels. The domaines hold HVE Level 3 certification, with vineyards converting to organic farming and practices including mechanical weeding, organic fertilization, biodiversity protection and monitored irrigation. Brotte also holds CSR and IFS Food certifications and is reducing its environmental impact through lighter bottles, energy savings and water management.
