Violin Wine is a family-run Willamette Valley producer founded in 2013 by winemaker Will Hamilton, with his spouse, Hyland Durant, as co-owner and business manager. Based in Amity on the crest of the Eola Hills, the winery makes Pinot noir and Chardonnay from selected vineyard sites, including dry-farmed vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills. Its approach emphasizes balance, distinction, finesse, and elegance, with sustainable practices including organic inputs, human labor for pruning and foliar work, mechanical in-row cultivation, and careful yield management. Pinot noir is fermented with indigenous yeast and aged in French oak, while Chardonnay is whole-cluster pressed and barrel-fermented. Production remains focused on quality over volume, with regional and site-specific expressions at its core.
