Schwaab‑Kiebel

Germany

Schwaab-Kiebel is a family-owned estate in Ürzig, in Germany’s Mosel, where Horst Schwaab-Kiebel serves as both owner and winemaker. The estate farms approximately 5.5 hectares of Riesling vineyards, including the notable Erdener Treppchen and Ürziger Würzgarten. Its Rieslings are hand-harvested and fermented in traditional 1,000-litre oak foudres, reflecting a traditional approach to winemaking. Horst Schwaab-Kiebel is planning to scale back operations from 2025. No sustainability certifications or specific ecological practices are reported.
