Hook & Ladder Winery is a family-owned estate producer on Olivet Road in Santa Rosa’s Russian River Valley, founded by Cecil and Christine DeLoach. The winery carries forward a pioneering family legacy, with vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Chalk Hill farmed sustainably; its founders championed practices including cover crops and beneficial insects. Grapes are handpicked, and the winery produces limited, small-lot wines using estate fruit, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Old Vine Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Bordeaux-style blends. Winemaker Jason DeLoach, Cecil’s grandson, brings more than two decades of experience and three generations of family knowledge to a hands-on, site-specific approach. The rustic tasting barn, decorated with firefighter memorabilia honoring Cecil’s career, reflects the winery’s distinctive heritage.
