Coppo is a historic Piedmont winery based in Canelli, founded in 1892 and family-owned for four generations before joining the Lanci group in 2021. Its historic underground cellars, the Cattedrali Sotterranee, are a UNESCO World Heritage site and remain the heart of production. The estate works vineyards in Alto Monferrato Astigiano and the Langhe, with a quality-first approach focused on site selection, low-impact farming, and respect for soil and environment. Since 2001, Coppo has followed integrated agriculture and also applies organic- and biodynamic-inspired practices such as cover crops, organic fertilization, plant extracts, and pheromone pest control. The range centers on Barbera, Nizza, Alta Langa Metodo Classico, Chardonnay, Moscato, Gavi, and Barolo, with a style that emphasizes elegance, finesse, and varietal expression. Coppo is also noted for helping revive Barbera through wines such as Pomorosso.
