Château d'Or et de Gueules

France

Château d’Or et de Gueules is a family-run estate in the Costières de Nîmes, founded in 1998 and managed by Diane de Puymorin, Mathieu Chatain and their daughter Chloé, the estate’s oenologist and winemaker. It farms old-vine Carignan and Mourvèdre alongside Syrah and white varieties, with hand harvesting and diverse, pebble-rich soils. Certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter, the domaine emphasizes soil health and biodiversity through compost, sheep grazing, hedgerows, tree planting and an ornithological reserve, while avoiding agricultural plastics and insecticides. Solar energy, recyclable packaging and other environmental measures reinforce this commitment. The estate produces, vinifies and bottles its own wines, combining traditional family know-how with a precise, distinctive style.
