Casale del Giglio

Italy

Casale del Giglio is a family-owned winery in Le Ferriere, Lazio, founded in 1967 by Dino Santarelli and now run by the Santarelli family with Antonio Santarelli and oenologist Paolo Tiefenthaler. Based in the Agro Pontino, the estate has built its identity through research, experimentation and a belief that high-quality wines can come from lesser-known territories. Alongside international varieties, it has worked to rediscover native Lazio grapes such as Bellone and Biancolella. Sustainability is a core focus, reflected in low-impact viticulture, green manure, limited irrigation, careful canopy management and Equalitas certification. The winery also maintains strong cultural ties to its territory through archaeological and heritage projects.
