Producer

Bodegas de la Riva

Spain

Bodegas de la Riva is a revived Jerez label, re-established by winemakers Willy Pérez and Ramiro Ibáñez after the historic estate was sold to Domecq and dissolved. They work a small parcel of Pago Macharnudo using biological (organic) viticulture, with soils ranging from coastal, oceanic-fossil soils that bring elegance, finesse and salinity to inland soils contributing concentration, power and richness. The project produces an ultra-limited Vino de Color, reflecting a focused return to the character of this historic Jerez property.
