Bodegas Áster

Spain

Bodegas Áster is a Ribera del Duero estate founded in 1999 in Anguix, Burgos, and owned by La Rioja Alta, S.A. It follows a château model, working exclusively with its own Tempranillo vineyards and maintaining full control from vine to bottle. Its Finca El Otero vineyard is planted to old vines on rocky clay-limestone soils. The estate is listed as Practicing Organic and farms with organic viticulture. Winemaking is carried out in-house, including its own coopers, with aging focused on American oak. The project highlights estate fruit, organic farming, and a fully integrated approach in Ribera del Duero.
