Beringer Founders Estate

Beringer is a historic, large-scale Napa Valley winery owned by Treasury Wine Estates. It is California's oldest continuously operating winery, founded in 1876, with a production capacity of approximately 182 million bottles annually from about 1,141 acres of vineyards. The estate is noted for its historic architecture, hand-dug caves, and early use of gravity-flow systems. While it emphasizes sustainability through water reclamation, Fish Friendly Farming certification, and renewable energy goals, its scale and corporate ownership place it firmly in the category of a major commercial producer rather than a small, artisanal operation.
