Benedetti La Villa

Italy

Benedetti La Villa is a fourth-generation family estate in Negrar, at the heart of Valpolicella Classica, run by twin brothers Simone and Matteo Benedetti. The family has cultivated these hills since the 19th century, working terraced vineyards and dry-stone walls without chemical herbicides. Traditional methods are combined with updated technology, and the estate produces the Valpolicella range, including Amarone and Recioto. Its vineyards surround the remains of a Roman villa dating from the 2nd–4th centuries AD, whose mosaics were rediscovered in 1887 and are the subject of an ongoing archaeological partnership. The estate’s identity is closely tied to this history and to the family’s long-standing dedication to the land.
