Alessandro di Camporeale

Italy

Alessandro di Camporeale is a fourth-generation, family-owned winery in Camporeale, within Sicily’s Monreale DOC and the Belìce valley. The Alessandro family farms organically certified vineyards at 300–600 metres on calcareous-clay and sandy soils, using cover crops, green manure, hedges and other biodiversity measures; the estate also participates in the SOStain sustainability project. Founded by the Alessandro brothers in 1999, it is now operated by the next generation, including winemaker and agronomist Benedetto Alessandro. The state-of-the-art cellar vinifies only estate grapes with minimal intervention, focusing on native Sicilian varieties and expressing the area’s elegant, aromatic, fresh and mineral style.
