Weingut Ziereisen is a family-run estate in Efringen-Kirchen, Baden, founded in 1991 by Hanspeter Ziereisen and run with his wife Edeltraud, with their children also involved. Working largely on Jurassic limestone soils, the family farms sustainably and close to nature, with hand harvesting, strict grape selection, no chemical fertilizers or sprays, and a strong focus on soil health and biodiversity. In the cellar, Hanspeter follows a low-intervention approach with spontaneous fermentation, native yeasts, ageing in wooden barrels, and gentle bottling, often without filtration. The wines are shaped around time, craftsmanship, and terroir expression rather than cellar manipulation.
